Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Here, “cookies” also covers similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens. They let the app remember things between requests — for example, that you are signed in.

2. The cookies we use today

Pillar OS uses strictly necessary (essential) cookies only. These are required to sign you in and keep the app secure and cannot be switched off without breaking the service.

  • Supabase auth session — keeps you signed in and refreshes your session on each request. Lasts until sign-out or expiry.
  • Security / sign-in state — protects the sign-in flow from cross-site attacks. Short-lived.

Under EU/ePrivacy rules and the UAE PDPL, strictly necessary cookies do not require prior consent. We list them here for transparency.

3. Analytics & advertising cookies (consent required)

To understand how people find and use Pillar OS and to run and measure marketing, we use (or plan to use) non-essential cookies. We set these only after you opt in through our cookie consent banner, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.

  • Google Analytics 4 / Tag Manager (_ga) — measure traffic and site usage.
  • Google Ads — measure ad conversions and remarketing.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel (_fbp) — measure ad performance and retarget visitors.

These run only on our public marketing, landing and sign-in pages — never inside the signed-in app where your documents and tenant data appear, and we never send personal data into analytics or ad events. If you do not consent, they are not set and the essential cookies above keep working.

4. Managing cookies

A cookie consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies on your first visit, and you can change your decision at any time via the “Cookie settings” control. Essential cookies cannot be switched off as they are required for the app to work. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, but blocking the essential session cookie will stop you from signing in.

5. Changes & contact

We will update this policy when our cookie use changes. Questions: privacy@getpillaros.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
